Runners: Typical Injuries from sports
Not surprisingly the majority of runners injuries are sustained to the lower limbs and include the hip, leg, knee, ankle and foot. Types are numerous and can involve stress fractures, dislocations as well as damage to muscles, tendons, joints, cartilage and bone. Unfortunately runners are also involved in road accidents and falls that can produce a variety of injuries. Due to the nature of the sport they are often wearing minimum clothing and no protective equipment that increases the potential for injuries.
